juicing

this time next week, i will be taking on a huge challenge...a juice cleanse.  it's been the talk of the team at work, so we are giving it a try with JuiceRx.

why take on a cleanse? well my goal of this entire cleanse is to get back on track to a healthier lifestyle. i have been thinking about it for a while, and with the new 'goal' of 2012, i think it would be great for me to try. it will definitely be a challenge, to literally drink juice ALL day for 3 days, but i've gotta give it a shot. plus, as JuiceRx put it, "regardless of how healthy we try to be, our bodies are constantly bombarded with toxins that threaten our optimal health. we are exposed to over 4,000 different chemicals, toxins, and pollutants every single day. the main culprit: processed foods ((yuck!)), our toxic environment, prescription/non-prescription drugs, and a nutrient deficient diet. the odds are against us here to attain optimum health." thinking about this makes me want to do a cleanse more than once, and i haven't even tried it yet!

the premium juices of JuiceRx are "designed to be fun, bursting with flavor, nutritious, and incredibly effective. not only are they powerful for nourishing and reviving the body when it's down, but they help to boost its daily defenses. just as going on a relaxing tropical vacation is healing for your mind ((which I would take on ANY day)), doing a JuiceRx cleanse is healing and regenerative for your body."

here are some of the benefits provided from a cleanse:
  • dramatically increased energy and vitality
  • shed excess weight ((yes, please))
  • reset metabolism
  • strengthen the immune system
  • slow down the aging process
  • improve digestion
  • improve sleep ((sleep is always welcome))
  • promote respiratory health
  • detoxify the liver ((needed))
  • improve post-workout recovery time
  • increase mental clarity while promoting relaxation
  • promote smooth, glowing skin
there are 3 different options offered from JuiceRx - the regular cleanse, the green cleanse, or a u-pickpac. since i am a newbie to juicing, i have decided to go with the regular cleanse. It is said to be the most popular, designed to fit with the busy lifestyle, and perfect for both the beginner or experienced cleanser ((that's me!)). it consists of 6 uniquely delicious juices per day in place of regular meals for 3 days.

i'll get into the juice details a bit later, once the juice is in hand. in reading about what JuiceRx offers, it seems to be just what the doctor ordered...here goes nothin'!
